What to Expect

Zion Rest is a place where you can come and be who God made you to be. Regardless of your background, education or status in life, we are about serving the true and living God. We invite you to come for Wednesday night or Thursday noon Bible Study and Prayer or come join us for worship on Sundays at either our 8:00 a.m. service or our 11:00 a.m. service. What you'll experience is a group of Bible believers who desire nothing more than to serve the true and living God.  Come experience the Rest!

Matthew 11:28 - Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. (NIV)

Hebrews 4:9 - There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest to the people of God. (NIV)

What's available for my Children?

The second Sunday of each month has been dedicated as Youth Sunday.

Our youth ministry offers a variety of activities such as Bible study classes for all age groups, tutoring sessions (upon request) to help with homework, occasional off-site activities, community outreach activities and Vacation Bible School.  The picture below is from a recent Vacation Bible School event.  Our youth also participates in drill team, praise dancing, and children's choir.

We also offer children's church which allows our youth to worship together with their peer groups.

On Wednesdays, the youth bible study classes are held. They are energetic and engaging worship experiences that run concurrently with the adult classes.

Open parking is available except where reserved signs are posted. Reserved handicap parking for the disabled or elderly is available where signs are posted.

Transportation Requests - For transportation to attend our Sunday services, please call (512) 892-8880, Monday - Thursday, to provide us your personal information (name, phone number, and location of where to pick you up).  Requests should be made at least 24 to 48 hours in advance of expected date of attendance.

How do I become a member?

Anyone can join by becoming a candidate for baptism, through a letter of Christian Experience or by Re-dedication. Prospective members can also join under Watch Care.  Our New Members Committee can provide more detailed information upon request.

What type of music do we offer?

Our worship team opens each service by seeking to lead the congregation in songs that truly give praise and honor to God. Contemporary worship is the norm for our worship services.  We are mindful and try to include hymns and gospel songs to ensure that all members of the body are included, the seasoned saints as well as the youth.

Will I be asked to give money?

Offerings are given as an act of worship either during our services or by utilizing our online giving.  Also, for those who would like to give using a debit card, we now have a point of sale terminal located in the church foyer.  If you need assistance with this process, an usher or attendant will be available to help.  We teach and believe in Biblical stewardship and tithing for all members.  For visitors, your presence is a gift to us. We want you to be blessed without feeling any obligation to give. We ask that you allow God to lead you in this area.
